About Us

The Suffolk Food Partnership (SFP) is a growing movement for change—bringing together organisations, communities, and leaders across Suffolk to transform the way food is grown, shared, and enjoyed.

Our vision is simple but ambitious: a Suffolk where nourishing food, produced in harmony with nature, is accessible and affordable for everyone.

We connect people and organisations from across sectors—including local government, health, education, farming, environment, and community food initiatives—to make this vision a reality. Together, we are building a stronger, fairer, and more sustainable food system for the county.

Coordinated by Community Action Suffolk and supported by Suffolk Public Sector Leaders, the partnership creates a space for collaboration, innovation, and action. Our Steering Group provides strategic leadership, while dedicated working groups drive practical change in key areas:

  • Local production and access – championing sustainable farming and supporting local food economies
  • Food education and culture – inspiring lifelong skills and positive relationships with food
  • Food waste – tackling waste and making better use of resources
  • Food insecurity – strengthening community responses while addressing the root causes

From supporting community food projects to shaping long-term strategy, we focus on both immediate impact and lasting systemic change.

As part of the national Sustainable Food Places network, SFP is connected to a wider movement working to create healthier, more sustainable, and more equitable food systems across the UK.

Together, we’re making Suffolk a place where good food benefits everyone.
